I finally finished this shawl today. It is made, over the last four months, in lace weight yarn. The pattern is called a cottage shawl with spiders.

Over the last four months I have put aside embroidery in favor of crocheting a shawl for a very dear friend of mine.

very pretty! I want to start crocheting- my 10 year old made me a beret for Christmas
I like the "spidery" bits! Original! (And the color combination is lovely.)
Thank you! I stumbled over this book about crochet lace and was inspired. It did take much longer than I had expected.
